Wetumpka man sentenced 12 1/2 years in meth case

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – Acting United States Attorney Kevin Davidson announced a Wetumpka man was sentenced Tuesday for possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.

A judge sentenced Michael David Wilson to 12 1/2 years in federal prison without parole. Following his term of imprisonment, Wilson will serve four years of supervised release.

Deputies with the Elmore County Sheriff’s Office stopped Wilson’s vehicle in May of 2025 to conduct a traffic stop and during the search a meth pipe and more than 14 grams of meth were found, according to his plea agreement and other records…
