Moose relocated after wandering into Colorado Springs neighborhood

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A moose wandered into a northern Colorado Springs neighborhood, and officers from Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) responded to relocate her to a more appropriate habitat on Friday, April 24.

According to CPW, officers immobilized the two-and-a-half-year-old cow moose, placed her in a litter, and carried the 700 lb animal to a wildlife trailer.

The officers then administered a drug to wake the moose and made certain she was on her feet and ready for transport…
