Motorcyclist killed in three-vehicle crash on State Route 7, investigation ongoing

PIERCE COUNTY, Wash. — A fatal three-vehicle collision shut down a stretch of State Route 7 in Pierce County for several hours Saturday night, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Troopers were dispatched at about 9:21 p.m. to SR-7 near Pilgrim Road East. Investigators say a motorcycle traveling northbound in a single lane struck a southbound vehicle. A second southbound vehicle then collided with the same car.

The motorcyclist, a 67-year-old, was pronounced dead at the scene. The two other drivers were not injured…
