50-year-old Cleveland man dies after falling from a raft on Ocoee River

CROSSVILLE, Tenn. (WDEF) – On Sunday, just before 1:30 p.m. EDT the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) Game Wardens and Tennessee State Park Rangers responded to a call regarding an unconscious man on the Ocoee River, just south of Ocoee Dam No. 2, in Polk County.

According to TWRA, witnesses tell them that, Richard White, a 50-year-old Cleveland man, fell from a raft while recreational paddling on the Ocoee River.

They say White was wearing protective equipment, including a helmet and a personal floatation device…
