Update: Look for pea-sized hail with thunderstorms in Washington and Mobile counties Sunday – gusts up to 50 mph

An updated report from the National Weather Service was issued on Sunday at 8:59 a.m. for strong thunderstorms until 10 a.m. for Washington and Mobile counties.

The storms are anticipated to bring wind gusts of up to 50 mph and pea-sized hail (0.25 inches).

“At 8:59 a.m., Doppler radar tracked strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 6 miles west of Millry to 7 miles southwest of State Line to 11 miles northwest of Leakesville. Movement was east at 35 mph,” according to the weather service. “Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.”…
