LA VERGNE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Two people were taken into custody Saturday after La Vergne law enforcement reportedly saw a four-wheeler and a dirt bike traveling in a “reckless manner” that could endanger others on the road.
According to the La Vergne Police Department, officers spotted both vehicles popping wheelies, weaving around traffic, and traveling at a high rate of speed along Waldron Road on Saturday, April 25.
Due to the immediate risk posed to other motorists and the general public, authorities said they tried to stop the “reckless riders,” but the four-wheeler fled through La Vergne while the dirt bike headed into Antioch.
Following a brief pursuit, law enforcement said they safely stopped and arrested the individuals, charging them both with reckless driving and felony evading arrest.
