Bills Shut Down Trade Talks, Back Keon Coleman for Future Success

Additional Coverage:

The Buffalo Bills remain confident in wide receiver Keon Coleman’s potential to make a significant impact by the 2026 season.

Coleman became the center of trade rumors after Bills owner Terry Pegula revealed that the push to select him in the second round of the 2024 draft originated from former head coach Sean McDermott’s staff, rather than from General Manager Brandon Beane. Despite this, Beane has consistently expressed optimism about Coleman’s future with the team throughout the offseason.

Speaking on WGR Monday, Beane emphasized that the Bills did not entertain any trade offers involving Coleman. “We shut those down,” Beane stated.

“Our intention is for Keon to be here, so the word was out, no calls this weekend. We’ve hit the reset button with him, and hopefully the fanbase and everyone is behind him.

I think his best year is yet to come here in 2026.”

While the Bills made moves to bolster their receiving corps by acquiring DJ Moore in March and drafting Skyler Bell in the sixth round recently, there remains a clear role for Coleman to develop and contribute within the Buffalo offense. All signs point to him getting that opportunity this coming season.
