Flute shop owner due in court for not repaying victims more than $72K

CINCINNATI (FOX19) – A flute shop owner convicted of keeping thousands of dollars in musical instruments from her customers was ordered to repay them as a condition of avoiding jail time when she was sentenced nearly five years ago.

Patricia North, however, still owes $72,725.68 of the $76,057.91 in restitution to dozens of victims, and that violates the conditions of her probation, which expires in a few months, court records show.

Now, North is under a court order to appear before a Hamilton County judge at 9 a.m. Monday to explain herself…
