Final Defendant Sentenced to Prison in Multi-State Methamphetamine Conspiracy

COVINGTON, Ky. – A Batavia, Ohio, woman was sentenced Thursday to 78 months in federal prison for her role in a conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine mailed from Texas to Northern Kentucky.

Chief U.S. District Judge David Bunning sentenced 39-year-old Stephanie Marie Terrell for aiding and abetting the attempted possession with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine. The case stems from a May 2025 investigation where the U.S. Postal Inspection Service intercepted a package containing over 220 grams of methamphetamine sent from Houston, Texas, to a residence in Covington.

According to court documents, law enforcement conducted a controlled delivery of the package. A co-defendant, Scott Baxter, retrieved the mail and brought it to a vehicle driven by Terrell. When law enforcement attempted a traffic stop, another passenger threw the package from the vehicle before the group was detained.
