MILWAUKEE — The Lake Express High-Speed Ferry starts daily crossings between Milwaukee and Muskegon, Michigan, on May 1. The team that runs it is looking to fill some open positions as soon as possible.
There are currently full- and part-time job openings for boat technicians, customer service, cabin crew hospitality, and a deckhand.
“It’s an amazing opportunity,” said Roman Stelter, the ferry’s lead deckhand, who’s now training to be second-in command behind the captain, as first mate. “I started out here having no idea how to tie a line. I had no idea anything about ships, and now I’m working my way up to be a mate.”…
