BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A Kern County Sheriff’s Office sergeant arrested in January on suspicion of burglary and tampering with evidence has been charged about three months later following further investigation.
On April 24, prosecutors charged Ryan Dunbier with burglary; manufacture, sale or possession of a short-barreled shotgun or rifle; and illegal possession of an assault rifle.

He was also charged with misdemeanor counts of being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of an injection or smoking device, according to the Kern County District Attorney’s Office.
