Residents at Owosso complex say they’re being wrongfully evicted

OWOSSO, Mich. (WLNS) — Some residents living in an apartment complex in Owosso claim they’re being evicted because management says they owe thousands of dollars of unpaid rent.

People living at Kona Villa Apartments in Owosso say Friday evening, without any warning, management taped a bunch of eviction letters to their doors, claiming that some of them owe three to 12 months of rent, and must pay the amount in seven days.

Mertin Patterson says he paid his rent for the month of April on March 30. He said his rent every month is $186, but he was told a different amount for next month on Friday…
