A Sunday afternoon confrontation in Altgeld Gardens turned violent when a 27-year-old woman was shot in the stomach during a physical fight on Chicago’s Far South Side, according to police. Around 4:44 p.m., the altercation broke out in the 13300 block of South Corliss Avenue when an unidentified woman allegedly pulled out a handgun and shot the victim, according to FOX 32 Chicago, which cited information from the Chicago Police Department.
