EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — As she campaigns to become Texas’s next governor, Gina Hinojosa is making affordability, water access, and public education central to her pitch to voters, arguing Texans are paying more while getting less.
Hinojosa is traveling the state “talking to Texans, building an agenda that works for Texans,” and hearing that “people are working longer hours and can’t get ahead.”
She pointed to rising costs, saying Texans are “paying more in property taxes” and “paying more in utilities, electric bill, gas and not getting what they pay for right?” Hinojosa said she is running “to keep more money in the pockets of the people of Texas.”…
