For three decades, the McKinney Community Development Corporation has worked behind the scenes to expand housing options across the city, partnering with nonprofits and local agencies to fund projects that aim to keep residents in place as McKinney grows.

According to the city of McKinney, some of the most visible projects have focused on replacing or upgrading older housing. Projects such as Newsome Homes, Merritt McGowan Manor and The Remnant are examples of how targeted investments can reshape housing across the community.
