OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – The man accused of seven counts of using a firearm to commit a felony in a North Omaha shooting last summer changed his plea Monday.
Maurice Brown, 32, of Council Bluffs, changed his plea to no contest to the counts of use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony and 2nd degree assault.
The charges of Possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, attempted first degree assault, and 4 other counts of 2nd degree assault were dismissed.
The shooting was first reported in August of 2025 as a ShotSpotter activation alert indicating multiple shots had been fired in the parking lot at Kelly’s Package Liquor, located at 30th and Pinkney streets…
