ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — All Rockford area Beefaroo restaurants were closed Monday by order of the Illinois Department of Revenue.
Signs were affixed to the doors of the restaurants, warning residents that the business certificate of registration had expired.
According to the company’s online ordering website, the Rockford area stores are showing as closed, but other stores in Illinois and in regional states still allow online ordering.
Jeremy Wise, Vice President of Bee-a-Roo, Inc, issued a press release saying, “Our team is fully engaged in resolving this situation with urgency, care, and a deep sense of responsibility to the communities we serve. We are conducting a thorough review, working together with our teams and partners, and taking every necessary step to ensure that when we reopen, we do safely, confidently, and to the high standard our guests know and trust.
