An early-morning armed robbery in Phoenix turned into a more-than-30-mile police pursuit that ended in Buckeye on Sunday, according to authorities. The suspect vehicle crashed near the Watson Road exit, leading to the apprehension of five adolescents. One of them was brought to the hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
According to Arizona’s Family, Phoenix police responded just after 1:30 a.m. to allegations of an armed robbery near 39th and Maryland avenues north of Bethany Home Road. According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, many minors, some armed with firearms, stole stuff before fleeing in a white Jeep. Officers later found the vehicle and attempted a traffic stop, but the driver fled.
