ALCOA, Tenn. (WATE) — Power has been restored to thousands of customers in Blount County Tuesday morning, according to the City of Alcoa.
The city’s outage map showed 4,897 customers affected by outages as of 6:18 a.m., but by 7 a.m., this number had dropped to 42. The City of Maryville Electric Department showed an additional 565 without power in the morning, but power was soon restored.

There were outages in other areas as well including nearly 1,400 Knoxville Utilities Board customers without power earlier in the morning, but this was down to just over 100 of 7:50 a.m. Volunteer Energy Cooperative was also showing around 1,500 without power in Fentress County as of 7:55 a.m…
