The sudden re-entry into the recruitment of Miikka Muurinen, and subsequent loss thereafter in his commitment to Arkansas and John Calipari, may have left the BBN with a bad taste in their mouths. Especially as Tyran Stokes’ recruitment goes on without refuge, little can be said about the Wildcats’ current roster beyond the holes Mark Pope is waiting to fill.
Yet, that hasn’t stopped the inarguably dedicated coach from hitting the recruiting trail for five-star names, regardless of what Muurinen did and what Stokes will do. According to KSR, Coach Pope is conducting an in-home visit with small forward Ryan Hampton today.
Not only is Hampton one of the best overall prospects in the 2027 class, but he’s also a popular candidate for a potential reclass. Take him however you can, but Hampton joining this year’s Kentucky squad, especially, would be a season-changing move.
