FEMA sets up mobile unit in Wilson County to help those impacted by January’s winter storm

WILSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — While Tennesseans prepare for severe weather expected to start Monday night, Wilson County is urging residents still reeling from January’s winter storm to take action.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency set up a mobile unit in Wilson County on Monday to help people apply for individual assistance following the winter weather that tore through Middle Tennessee three months ago, leaving a path of destruction.

“Most of our damage was at the Davidson County line. There were lots of trees down, lots of limbs down… a lot of people that had those trees down that couldn’t get out of their driveways or were stuck for a couple of days or roadways were blocked,” said Maegan Eldridge, the public information officer for the Wilson County Emergency Management Agency.
