HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – A large-scale search is underway for a missing fishing vessel crewman in the Pacific Ocean.
The U.S. Coast Guard said the 59-year-old man reportedly fell overboard from a fishing vessel about 1,200 miles southeast of the Big Island.
Officials said the incident happened around 12:15 p.m. Sunday aboard the Republic of Korea-flagged vessel Oryong 355. The Joint Rescue Coordination Center in Honolulu was notified later that day and began coordinating search efforts…
