Bucks County man sentenced to life in prison for deadly stabbing of 19-year-old ex-girlfriend

DOYLESTOWN, Pa. (KYW Newsradio) — A 25-year-old Churchville man will spend the rest of his life in prison for the stabbing death of his ex-girlfriend.

Bucks County Judge Charissa Liller called the actions of Trevor Weigel on Feb. 16, 2024 “tragic, brutal and horrific,” as she sentenced Weigel to life in prison for breaking into the Yardley home of his 19-year-old ex-girlfriend Jaden Battista, dragging her outside and stabbing her 14 times.

“This was a horrific case,” said prosecutor A.J. Garabedian. “It was a young woman who did not deserve to die, who had her whole life ahead of her, and it was tragic, not only for her, but her family, the police officers that had to respond and observed what happened.”…
