Lehigh Valley’s new multi-level event venue to feature renovated, original speakeasy

EASTON, Pa. – A chic event space coming soon to Northampton County is harkening back 100 years to an intoxicating chapter of the property’s past life, when it was a hot spot for sipping drinks and socializing with friends during the Prohibition era.

Easton Speakeasy & Dining Room, a multi-level event venue featuring a refurbished, original speakeasy, is expected to hold its grand opening in the fall at 431 Northampton St. in downtown Easton, co-owner Tony Austin told 69 News.

Austin and his husband, Aaron Coleman, purchased the Northampton Street property in 2024 and have spent the past couple of years extensively renovating it.

The new venue will be available for a wide variety of private events, such as birthday, anniversary and graduations celebrations, and Austin and Coleman also plan to host some ticketed community events…
