Chattanooga council members question ‘fairness’ of first-time homebuyer assistance program

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Some Chattanooga city council members raised questions Tuesday night about a new program that is intended to help families afford housing in the city.

The city says one of the largest barriers to entry for homeownership is the down-payment.
