COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – A Columbia man was sentenced Tuesday after he was convicted last week for killing his roommate while he slept.
Stanley Geter was sentenced Tuesday to 25 years in prison for voluntary manslaughter after he killed his roommate, Dexter Gunter, by punching him while he slept.
Geter repeatedly punched Gunter while he slept after mistakenly believing that Gunter was having an affair with his girlfriend.
Gunter was taken to the hospital after the incident but died on Jan. 17, 2021, from blunt-force head trauma…
