DANA POINT, Calif. — The waves at Doheny State Beach aren’t the biggest in Southern California, but Mark Calkins, who is a member of the Doheny Longboard Surfing Association, said they are perfect.
“All three of my kids surf here: my son, who is a phenomenal surfer, and then I am teaching my grandkids how to surf here. It is a great beach,” said Calkins.
