Indiana State Police are investigating a fatal head-on collision that occurred in Spencer County on Monday evening.
According to authorities, Indiana State Police and Spencer County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle crash on west of Saint Meinrad on State Road 162 north of State Road 62 at about 8:20 p.m.
Preliminary investigation indicated Amber Gogel, 37, of Dale, was driving a 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer northbound on State Road 162 when her vehicle may have traveled left of center into the path of a southbound 2014 Dodge Durango driven by Amanda Kern, 40, of Dale.
