Murder charges filed in Abbott Street quintuple shooting

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Formal charges have been filed against a Fort Wayne man for his role in a quintuple shooting on the city’s southeast side.

According to court documents, David Hunter Jr., 22, was charged with Murder, Attempted Murder, and Battery with a deadly weapon on Tuesday for his role in a shooting that killed one person and injured four that took place on April 11.

The Fort Wayne Police Department responded to a shooting in the 3200 block of Abbott Street, just north of McMillen Park, around 11:16 p.m. on April 11.
