MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man pleaded guilty and was sentenced Tuesday after a victim was stabbed to death in 2022 in South Memphis, according to the Shelby County District Attorney’s Office.
James Sherman, 56, was sentenced to 22 years after pleading guilty to second-degree murder.

The stabbing happened in February 2022 in the 200 block of Bond Avenue. Detectives at the scene told WREG they were called to the apartment complex around 5 a.m.
When officers arrived, they found one man dead from multiple stab wounds. MPD later said Sherman was arrested and charged.
