RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) – The family of a late VCU transplant surgeon is matching donations up to $100,000 for 12 On Your Side’s food drive with FeedMore through April 30 to help families in need.
Dr. Marc Posner spent more than 30 years performing transplant surgeries at VCU. He also worked as a part-time vascular surgeon at McGuire Veterans Hospital after retiring in 2015. He died from pancreatic cancer in 2023.
His wife, Stacey Posner, said they wanted to find a way to honor him.
