RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Hiding below the hustle and bustle of the Manchester Bridge, an explosion of creativity, eye to eye with the serenity of the James River — Richmond’s proposed public art park is waiting to be discovered.
Richmond non-profit Little Giant Society is behind the project three years in the making.
Inspiration came to Ian C. Hess, Little Giant Society’s president, when he visited a public art park beneath a bridge in Amsterdam. Hess, an artist himself, said he “could not believe that it wasn’t in Richmond.”
When Hess returned home, he came to Katie Cortez, vice president of Little Giant Society, and they agreed to “figure it out.”…
