Dog found dead in suspicious North Sacramento house fire, crews say

(FOX40.COM) — A dog is dead after a suspicious fire broke out in a North Sacramento home early Tuesday morning, according to the Sacramento Fire Department.

SFD responded to reports of a fire around 3:10 a.m. in the area of Yampa Circle and Austin Street, a few blocks away from Norwood Street.

Five people in the home were able to safely exit the house, and no one was injured, however, a dog was found dead.

SFD said the fire is considered suspicious as residents reported the sound of a loud boom when the fire broke out. The home was left with major damage, especially the front bedroom, SFD said…
