Two teens, one on parole charged as MCSO and RPD target stolen vehicles

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Two teens, including one on parole, were arrested and charged following a traffic stop involving a stolen vehicle in the city of Rochester.

According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, the arrests stem from a collaboration with the Rochester Police Department on Thursday targeting stolen vehicles.

At 2:43 p.m., the group was alerted to a stolen Hyundai with a license plate reader hit on Jefferson Avenue. The vehicle, reportedly stolen a day earlier, was later seen traveling on Genesee Street. When officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop, the vehicle fled at a high rate of speed…
