Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper cited after crash in Sandusky County

TOWNSEND Twp., Ohio (WTVG) – An Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper has been cited for causing a crash in Sandusky County on Sunday.

Trooper Yousif Sabah was driving northeast on U.S. Route 6 at County Road 294 in Townsend Township when he said he spotted a vehicle traveling more than 70 miles per hour in a posted 55 zone.

He attempted a U-turn to catch the speeder and turned directly into the path of a Chevrolet Blazer driven by 53-year-old Lee Swartz of Fremont. The family in the vehicle was on the way home from a volleyball game…
