Motorists traveling through Bellevue and surrounding areas should prepare for long-term lane reductions as the Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT) begins major bridge and roadway repairs along U.S. Highway 75 / Kennedy Freeway next week.
According to NDOT, work is scheduled to begin May 4 on US-75 between Reference Posts 79 and 83 in Sarpy County. The project will reduce traffic to one lane in each direction throughout construction, with work expected to continue until Winter 2026.
The project, identified as “US-75 Bridges, Bellevue Phase 2”, includes repairs to six bridges along approximately 2.45 miles of highway between mile markers 80.03 and 82.48.
