Nearly 30 car accidents in Greene County from Tuesday storms

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Tuesday’s round of severe weather led to dozens of crashes and even damage to police vehicles across the area Tuesday afternoon, according to Springfield police.

From 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., officers with the Springfield Police Department responded to 19 calls for service involving motor vehicle crashes, said Cris Swaters with the department. Of those, four involved injuries, 11 were non-injury crashes and four had unknown injury status.

Across Greene County in total, authorities handled 29 crashes during the same timeframe, including five with reported injuries, 13 non-injury crashes and 11 with unknown injuries…
