Board of Governors raises tuition, SGA pushes for fee transparency

On April 15, the Board of Governors approved a 5% increase in tuition for MSU undergraduate and graduate students.

Changing tuition and fees is a part of the school’s budgetary process for the next fiscal year. Fees and tuition consist of 59% of the university’s total budget, or estimated income. The full university budget and the state appropriation from the governor will be approved in June.

For the 2025–2026 academic year, undergraduate tuition per class for a Missouri resident was $302. Next semester, it will be $317. The non-resident undergraduate price will be $678. Graduate residents’ price will be $414, and the graduate non-resident price will be $825. The full 2027 fiscal year fee schedule approved by the Board of Governors is available online…
