Dog attack in Churchill neighborhood sends man to hospital

EUGENE, Ore. – A man was attacked by a loose dog while walking on a pathway near Burlington Drive on Monday evening, according to the Eugene Police Department.

EPD officials said the 47-year-old victim made it to a nearby home in the 2200 block of Burlington Drive in the Bailey Hill Road area for help. Eugene Springfield Fire and Eugene Police responded to the call around 5:38 p.m. on April 27. The man was rushed to a hospital in emergency mode. He is being treated for injuries that are not life-threatening. Police searched the area but have not found the dog. Nearby residents have been notified about the attack.

Eugene Police are still working to get a description of the dog. They are asking anyone with surveillance camera footage from that area or tips about the dog to come forward…
