Lane County Commissioner files federal claim after probe finds retaliation violations

Lane County Commissioner David Loveall is challenging Lane County in federal court, filing a claim one day before he spoke in studio about what he says are violations of his constitutional rights.

The claim follows a third-party investigation released in February that found Loveall violated county policy by retaliating against employees. The report details multiple incidents, including a May 2025 comment comparing a community partner to “a stripper on a pole,” which prompted a discrimination complaint.
