Music and live orchestra performances are coming to Reno this May, with students in third through fifth grade taking part in a week of education concerts, and families invited to a separate free public concert at the Pioneer Center.
The Reno Phil is closing out its Music Education Festival with a full lineup of free community events, educational performances, and concerts running May 7 through May 9, centered at the Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts and other Reno venues.
The week begins with four Young People’s Concert performances on May 7 and May 8 at 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. at the Pioneer Center, where third through fifth-grade students will be introduced to live orchestral music at no cost to schools or families.
