Bay High School Principal Jason Martin placed on leave as district investigates ‘recent allegations’

BAY VILLAGE, Ohio — Bay High School Principal Jason Martin has been placed on paid administrative leave amid an investigation into “recent allegations” made against him, the Bay Village City School District confirmed to 3News Tuesday night.

Officials shared a letter sent from Bay Village Superintendent Scot Prebles to district families. In the letter, Prebles declined to share additional details of what he called a “confidential personnel matter,” and further stressed that Martin’s leave “is a standard and precautionary procedural step that allows the district to conduct necessary reviews and ensure that all processes are followed appropriately.”

“We appreciate your understanding and respect for the privacy of those involved,” Prebles continued, in part. “The safety and well-being of our students remain our highest priority.”…
