Montgomery woman charged with setting West Edgemont fire

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – A Montgomery woman was arrested and charged with first-degree arson after investigators say she intentionally set a house fire early Tuesday morning.

Vanisha Nathan, 27, was taken into custody without incident in connection with the fire in the 600 block of West Edgemont Avenue.

Montgomery Fire/Rescue crews responded to the scene around 5:04 a.m. and found heavy flames coming from the home. Firefighters put out the fire and kept it from spreading to nearby houses…
