SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – During Tuesday’s storm, many people reported hail the size of softballs.
KY3 spoke with residents about their experience through this hail storm, and what kind of damage they saw afterwards, and with the city utilities department, which also noted some unprecedented damage across the area.
“I’d never seen anything like that in my life,” said Springfield resident Lesa Voss. “It’s the worst hail I have ever seen, I’ve seen probably close to golf ball size, but never like grapefruit, softball, baseball size. It was just shaking the house. I thought some pictures were falling off the walls. And it was just the force of the hail against the house.”…
