Small business EXPO in Mesa focuses on obtaining federally funded contracts

Small businesses and those owned by those from socially and economically disadvantaged groups can learn how to compete for state transportation contracts that receive federal funding at a May 12 conference in Mesa.

The Arizona Department of Transportation and partner agencies will conduct the event from 7 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, May 12, at the Mesa Convention Center (Building C).

Offered through ADOT’s Disadvantaged Business Enterprise program, the DBE and Small Business Transportation EXPO will allow those who attend to learn about project opportunities, visit exhibit booths, build relationships through matchmaking and network with industry professionals and business owners, state transportation officials stated in a release…
