Driver indicted in 2024 crash on Clinton Highway left two dead

KNOX COUNTY, Tenn. (WATE) — A Morgan County man has been indicted on multiple charges, including vehicular homicide, in connection to a 2024 crash on Clinton Highway that left two people dead.

On April 22, a Knox County Grand Jury indicted indicted Brent Andrew Morgan, 46, on charges of vehicular homicide, vehicular assault, aggravated assault, and reckless endangerment.

The charges against Morgan stem from a crash that happened on December 26, 2024. According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol’s preliminary report, the crash happened when a 2010 GMC Yukon driving south on Clinton Highway crossed into the southbound lane and struck a 2020 Dodge Challenger that was driving south at Bell Stanley Road.

The driver and passenger of the Challenger, identified as Carly Williams, 33, and Jeffrey Wilkerson, 34, died in the collision.
