Wounded Warrior Project’s ‘Soldier Ride 250’ to pass through Hampton Roads

NORFOLK, Va. — As the nation prepares to celebrate its 250th anniversary, a group of veterans is gearing up for a journey focused on resilience, recovery, and connection, one that will pass through Hampton Roads.

Wounded Warrior Project’s “Soldier Ride 250 is a 1,000-mile adaptive cycling event stretching from Jacksonville, Florida, to New York City. Along the way, veterans will ride through communities such as Portsmouth, Norfolk, and Williamsburg, raising awareness of the challenges many face after military service.

“We are very excited and honored to host Soldier Ride 250,” said Meghan Wagner, Director of Physical Health & Wellness for Wounded Warrior Project. “This is a commemoration of America’s birthday, but this is also a time to reflect on the service and sacrifice that so many military members have made over generations.”…
