Independence Police Captain sues City for age discrimination, retaliation

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. (KCTV) – An Independence police captain is suing the city for age discrimination and retaliation – including claims the Police Chief covered up his own drunk driving crash.

Jackson County Circuit Court records filed on April 21 show that Captain Bill Pope, 55, is suing the City of Independence under the Missouri Human Rights Act.
