Yesterday was the third and final day of large hail and thunderstorms in the Ozarks, and it went out with a bang. A destructive hailstorm hit Aurora, Republic, and Northwest Springfield. This is one example of the hailstorms recently, and thankfully we’re done with the thunderstorms and are now moving into a quiet weather pattern.

Skies are mostly cloudy this morning and temperatures are cool in the 50s and 40s. Skies will be mostly cloudy to partly cloudy with temperatures staying cool in the low 60s this afternoon. Winds will be chilly from the north around 10 to 15 mph.
Thursday and Friday look similar. Mostly cloudy skies, a north breeze, and temperatures in the 60s during the day and 40s during the night. Central Missouri may find some clearing Thursday and Friday with clouds thicker farther south.
There is a slight chance of light rain showers on Thursday night. Otherwise, the forecast is dry through the weekend.
Saturday will begin chilly right around 40°. Temperatures will warm to the low 60s under sunny skies in the afternoon, still feeling the effects of a north breeze. A south wind returns on Sunday and temperatures will warm to normal levels in the mid-70s. Overall, the weekend looks fantastic!
Monday remains nice ahead of rain chances with a cold front Monday night. Thunderstorms don’t look likely, but passing rain showers are possible Monday night into Tuesday…
