SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – Nearly a month after a severe hailstorm hit the Ozarks on April 28, roofing companies and auto body shops are working extended hours to keep up with unprecedented demand.
Business owners say work had been steady but manageable before the storm. Then the hail hit, and phones started ringing nonstop.
Roofing companies see record damage
At ABC Roofing, crews are spread across the Ozarks patching leaks, inspecting damage, and replacing roofs. Phil Schroff, owner of ABC Roofing, says the damage is unlike anything he has seen.
“So it was looking like it wasn’t going to be a very busy year. And obviously now with that, I would say a record hail storm in our area, it’s been very busy,” Schroff said…
